Under The Surface—Finding The Graphic Arts From The Contemporary Sculpture Arts

For thousand years, the sculpture and the drawing are two different art forms. Even there is a greyarea between two of these arts which is made by the relief sculpture, the mural, the utensil decorationand so on. Even the sculpture and the drawing are sharing the same esthetic standard system betweenboth east and west art history. Still the difference between the two-dimensional and the threedimensional has leave a boundary. With the develops of the policy，economy and technical progress, andwith the unceasingly enhancement of information transmission efficiency,the different cultures areunprecedented influencing each other, along with the diversification of the artistic style brings theideological liberation at the historic moment. This kind of diversification displays in the appearance ofnew artistic language, the birth of the new artistic form and the impact in new artistic idea. Theconfusion of artistic forms is one of the important characteristics of the contemporary arts. this kinddeparts from the classics and betrays principle idea earth-shaking change which brings to the sculpture.The sculpture language which is affected by the drawing language has opened a new door to thesculpture creative idea. On the other hand, the new form’s non-difference emerged inevitably has causeda dyspepsia of the Chinese artistic circles. This article namely bases on this, obtains how the graphic artinfluence the plastic arts. This small phenomenon reflect characteristic of the contemporary art and thedevelopment of the Chinese contemporary sculpture.There are five parts in this paper: the first part including the selection of the background of subjectresearch, reasons, previous research results, the goals and contents of research topic, and also studymethod.
