This thesis is to discuss the symmetrical characteristic of “jin/ru” and “chu” in the verb-objectstructures of “V+O” and “(V+O1)+O2”, which are related as they all function as notional verbs ormorphemes and share similar or opposite characteristics in semantics and syntactic function. Bydescribing the meanings of each verb、 illustrating the characteristics of the objects behind andexplaining the semantic、syntactic characteristics of each verb in those two structures separately, acomparison is made to analysis their similarities and differences, especially when “jin” and “ru” issynonymous or irreplaceable in actual use; when “jin/ru” forms antisense symmetry with “chu”. Duringthe course of these analyzes, cognitive linguistics conduct as an important theoretic evidence to thearguments. The thesis depicts the Semantic Webs and Metaphorical Path of the three verbs. Inaddition,a series of image schemas are established, which helps a lot to explain the motivation of thedifferences that “jin、ru” and “chu” display in the structures of “V+O” and “(V+O1)+O2”.
