In China, feminism literature has gone through nearly one hundred years since its emergence. At the same time, the research on feminist literature has experienced a development process from single to rich. The present researches have made great progress with various perspectives, theories and methods, and also have formed a rigorous research pattern and system. However, we have found some accidentally or deliberately-made “blank”. The researches have always paid attention to female image, female consciousness, female circumstances, writing techniques and narrative styles of female writers, however, the exploration of male image is barely touched.As the standard bearer and pioneer of feminism literature in new period of our country, Zhang Jie’s literary creation keeps pace with the times. From the pre-classical and aesthetic to the mid-sharp and forceful until the late- plain, Zhang Jie’s writing sequence is not only a female writer’s individual style transition but also the representative of female consciousness and female subject development of female writers. However, similar to the feminism literature research in China, the “blank” of male image also exists in research of Zhang Jie and her text.Nevertheless, as the epitome of female looking on male world, male image under female writers is of great research value. Whether the image is premium or not has reflected the rootedness of “real man” dream in female’s heart and the subject stage of female. What’s more, the attitude changes toward male image mirrors their attitude changes toward the whole male world and patriarchy. At this point, this paper has been supported by the feminist theory, taken the typical representative of feminism literature in new period, Zhang Jie, as the research object, taken the male images in her novels as entry point and attempted to explore stage characteristics and evolution process of male images in her novels from point to surface, that is from “real man” to “little men” to “individual”. At the same time, taking Zhang Jie as the representative of female writers in new period, this paper has probed their subject attitudes from “indulgence” to “betrayal” to “transcendence” facing patriarchy and their subject growing from “Mulan” to “woman” then to “myslef”.
