The report, based on the translation of the four chapters in the Arctic Dreams, summarizes and analyzes the translating process.The report mainly consists of four parts. Part One is the description of the translation material, including its source of the translation material, the author, the book, and the significance of this translation practice. Part Two is the translation process, which includes the preparation for the translation, the modification and finalization. Part Three is the analysis of the translation cases from three aspects: morphology, syntax and context. In terms of the morphology, the author analyzes the translation methods such as amplification and conversion. As far as the syntax, the author mainly introduces the translation skills used in translating adverbial clause, attributive clause, noun clause, parenthesis, comparative structure and the long sentence. In terms of the context, the author analyzes the personal reference, and the logical coordination. And the last part is the summary of this translation process.The report presents the whole process of the translation, which will provide useful reference for translators who do the same work.
