Study On Bohai Geography

Bohai Geographical Research plays an important part in research on history of Bohai. “Liao History ·Geographical Annals” is a great work to study Bohai Geography. To begin with, the paper corrects the errors in “Liao History ·Geographical Annals” and confirms it by ethnology, geography, archaeology, anthropology, phonology, philology and other original documents. Then, “the existing literature and archaeological material” are adopted to verify Bohai Geography, which mainly includes the research to the unknown areas and “Five Jings, Fifteen Fus and Sixty-two states”. New discoveries and conclusions are found in some places during the study, for example, Shangling, Sanzishan, Shenzhou, Binzhou, Wuzhenli. Thirdly, the latest researches about Bohai Geography are summarized and the negative effect of “Liao History·Geographical Annals” in Historical geography research of the Northeast are explained in the thesis. Finally, the paper states the summarization and prospect of Bohai Geographical Research.
