A Research On The Music Nouns In “yueji”

This paper is mainly based on the annotation of the book of “Yueji”, the Han Dynasty, the Tang Dynasty, the Qing Dynasty and the Contemporary Era. And it is mainly based on the following basic theories: Object named can be demonstrated relatively, A phased theory of terminology happened and accumulated, Language is a significant carrier of culture as well. Conducting a comprehensive analysis of the music nouns in the book of “Yueji”.Firstly, discussing the identification standard of the object and nouns. Through sorting statistics, the music nouns in “Yueji” have totally 64 substantives(52 monosyllables and 12 disyllables), there are 28 nouns of musical instruments, 12 nouns of musical songs or poetries, 16 nouns of musical dance and 8 nouns of voice or melody.Secondly, this paper divides these music nouns into four parts, this is nouns of musical instruments, nouns of musical songs or poetries, nouns of musical dance, nouns of voice or melody. At the same time, they are described and differentiated respectively.Thirdly, concluding five named arguments of important music nouns in “Yueji”, this is voice, image, material, function and ways of performance.At last, according to study these nouns, there are the ideas and culture that music can balance popular morale, music can be harmonious to ethic, music will be beneficial to politics as well.In a word, studying comprehensively the music nouns in the book of “Yueji”, which contributes to adding new materials to the research on vocabulary of the Ancient Chinese and providing valuable reference to the research on the pre-Qin thoughts and culture.
