On Ye Zhaoyan’s Secular Writing

As an indispensable representative writers in contemporary literary world, Ye Zhaoyan’s creation has experienced from the early 1980 s to now,over 30 years of creative experience, text published more than five million words.Throughout Ye Zhaoyan’s creation,it is not difficult to find that he is a writer who consistently seeking himself breakthrough and innovation,his creation flexibly traveled between the historical and realistic themes,the content of his novel is rich,the narrative of his novel is diversity,because of these,he has been classified into “ pioneer ”,“ new realism ” and “ new history ”and so on,more than one genre. However, it is worth noting that although he continues to seek breakthrough and innovation,but ordinary people’s daily life always appears in his writing.His novels often reflected the bagatelle life of ordinary men and women,diet and desire,love and marriage,family ethics relationships, rise and fall of family and the various social classes etc,with obvious strong tendency.The paper will be based on Ye Zhaoyan’s main representative creations,try to use close reading, theories and other research methods to explore the diverse pictures of the world situation,various traditional narratives and profound reflection of modern life,the three aspects of his secular writing. The first chapter,I will choose the close reading,attempt to present the several kinds of human world states :soft relationships between lovers, dark disease death, history of trauma,troubles in real life etc. In every state,the author will specially analyze the survival period of secular characters.The second chapter, I will also choose the chose reading, systematical study the features of Ye Zhaoyan’s secular writing,mainly from two aspects—languages and narratives.In the language aspect,I will mainly analyze the three kinds of languages which he chose to suit the secular writing—line drawing style of language, calm and objective language and the composed by compatible language;In the narrative aspect, I will mainly analyze his complete and interesting story, people with the same settings,spatio-temporal stagger and anti climax narrative strategies;The third chapter,I will use the theories to explore the value of Ye Zhaoyan’s secular writing, mainly from the profound reflection on modern daily life and the special status in the contemporary literature world two aspects.
