In the Chinese as L2 teaching and communication with Korean learners, it is found that Korean learners, when using Chinese to express, not only have the problems in initials, finals and tones epitomizing their own characteristics, but also manifest the difference with the Chinese native speakers in the prosody area. It can be perceived that Korean Learners often set pause after verb and preposition in the terms of prosodic boundary setting. Moreover, the syllables in the sentence sound to be longer, showing that Korean Learners seem to have the aptitude of prolonging the sound in these syllables.Whether above descriptions are true or false? These phenomena are universal displaying the group identity or not? Are these Korean learners Chinese Interlanguage phonetic features? In order to answer these questions, Chinese native speakers treated as the control group, two experiments (recording and perception experiment) have been taken to explore or analyse the inclination of the prosodic boundary setting and the duration feature of prosodic phrase of Chinese high level Korean learners whose phonetic can be called fossilizationThis research can be divided into five main parts. The first part is an introduction, containing the reason for conducting the research, literature review and research object-such foundational contents for supporting. In the second part, the experimental subjects, the environment, the process of the experiment, as well as the purpose have been illustrated by detail. In the third part, on the basis of perception statistical results, the analysis of the tendencies and differences of Chinese prosodic boundaries setting between the Korean learners and native speakers has been conducted. In the fourth part, the duration analysis has been done in order to find the prosodic differences between the two groups while the fifth part is the summary and reflection.Through the analysis of the perception results, Korean learners presenting certain similarities in prosodic phrase boundaries setting can be found. Compared to the Chinese native speakers, Korean learners have exhibited certain characteristics. The possibility to the pause after verb is higher than subject among Korean learners. Korean learners prefer taking precedence in setting boundaries after verb while native speakers are more inclined to the subject. As for the pause after preposition, Korean learners have the tendency to set the pause after preposition while native speakers do not have.In terms of duration, Korean learners’first syllables of sentences have no significant chance in duration while the post-boundary syllables in the middle parts of sentences, which are after the first pause and before the last part, demonstrate the obvious extension in duration. Furthermore, compared to the native speakers, Korean learners have significant differences in duration and the amount of extension of the first prosodic boundary syllables. It reveals that there is prolong phenomenon in the Korean learners Chinese Interlanguage system. What’s more, the duration of the prosodic phrase boundary syllables has no correlation with the syntactic structures in both groups. The characteristics which Korean learners exhibit in prosody aspects are mainly influenced by the mother tongue especially by the features of the Korean prosody.
