Both Shen Congwen and Ding Ling were famous writers coming from Hunan. As the educated youth coming from the "Border Town" to the urban, both Shen Congwen and Ding Ling had the depressed experience of the Marginal Man when they tried to merge into elite culture circle. Finally they got the access to the cultural circle by the way of jointly managing the press with the means of literature. However, the rapid literary production made them encounter bottleneck soon. Their literary view became different because of their different thoughts on literature, different regional culture and different aesthetic pursuit. On the basis of the existed information and the research work before, the author analyzed the related historical facts in time sequence and perused compared their creation comprehensively to show their aggregation and distinction of literary road in detail and in depth to mine the factors of the times and individual which led to their differences in literature. Thus well-rounded literary images of Shen Congwen and Ding Ling were created to break the stereotype about them since 1980s.
