| This thesis mainly centers around the aesthetic category of absurdity in Chinese modern painting. Absurdity painting has been painter’s favorite from its formation,development and to the present,as in the absurd world, painters can express their inner thoughts without being restricted by objective things.Many excellent painters appeared in contemporary China, their works generally presented characteristics in the spatial composition, color composition and picture structure, even included some folk art features. The western modern art is a product of western modern industrial civilization, many modern art genres express scientific thoughts. Science has a close relation to the western modern painting, while some artists in the modern painting began to take some scientific theory as a creative thinking of their own. Floyd’s theory of mental analysis has an important influence on the western modern art, and has direct or indirect influence on surrealism, expressionism and absurdity painting etc..This thesis is mainly divided into five parts: the first part mainly expounds the connotation of absurdity and its aesthetics definition. The second part mainly describes the absurdity form of Western painting. The third part mainly describes the absurdity form in Chinese contemporary oil painting. The fourth part mainly takes famous oil painting artist Liu Dahong’s work for example, describes the unique charm of absurdity painting through his work. The fifth part is about my understanding of absurdity painting as well as the application of absurdity painting language in my creation. |
