Recently the development of Confucius Institute is very fast all over the world. More and more people are interested in Chinese language and culture. That’s why nowadays the amount of foreigners coming to China is also increasing. In 5 recent years more and more Ukrainian students are eager to study in China. Most of them hope to get the Chinese government Scholarship or the Confucius Institute Scholarship. But you have to pass special test(HSK- China’s only standardized test of Standard Chinese language proficiency for non-native speakers) to get the scholarship. While doing practice in Kharkiv National Pedagogical University the author found out that most Ukrainian students don’t know much about this test.Writing is an essential part of learning foreign language. Writing is also one of the most difficult ability of language performance. Writing requires using of all obtained knowledge and skills. HSK 5 level written tasks can show the students’ level in grammar, vocabulary, Chinese characters, besides can show the mistakes, students often make in writing.First, the author made a poll among the students about their understanding of HSK test, then according to the five main steps of error analysis the author made an error analysis of mistakes made by Ukrainian students in HSK 5 level written tasks. And as a result the author suggest some methods of learning Chinese to Ukrainian students.This thesis according to the method of error analysis points the mistakes made by Ukrainian students made in HSK 5 level written tasks:grammar mistakes, vocabulary mistakes, Chinese characters mistakes, punctuation mistakes and the reasons of their existence: the negative transfer of mother tongue, aim language or influence of learning and communication strategies. As a result the author suggest some methods of learning Chinese grammar, vocabulary and Chinese characters, besides gives an advice for Ukrainian students as for how to prepare the HSK written tasks.Hopefully these thesis would be useful and contribute for Ukrainian students in studying Chinese and preparing for the HSK.
