Teaching of written Chinese as a foreign language is an important part in teaching Chinese as a foreign language of which purpose is to train the students’ ability to written Chinese.Proficiency in this paper aim at examing whether the Length Approach is beneficial for intermediate students to improve the level of Chinese writing or not; Whether the Length Approach can motivate and keep students’ learning interest or not,and Whether the Length Approach can effectively improve students’ self-confidence in learning Chinese or not. As a result of above analysis,suggestions are worked out..At first, Mainly introduce the significance and the current research of the related content, as well as the related theories and research methods were in this paper.Chapter1,Introduces the teaching idea and the application of Length Approach.including:background and the teaching idea, teaching object and key points operation,effect and debate.Chapter2, Introduces the specific experiment on Length Approach in Written Chinese, including the experimental design and implementation of strategy.Chapter3, Is mainly about experimental results and discussion.On the basis of specific teaching implementation of the third chapter, the survey questionnaire,measured before and after the composition and the text, Moreover a case study is analyzed and discussed, on the basis of summarizing the experiment conclusion.Chapter4,Case analysis,Mainly including students composition and text comparison that to study the actual effect about the Length Approach.Chapter5, Mainly discuss the teaching Written Chinese to foreign students on the basis of the next three aspects: whether the Length Approach can effectively improve the level of Chinese writing、the writing interest and confidence.Chapter6,Is a summary about pointing out that innovation and the problems which remain to be further discussed.
