After the outbreak of Anti-Japanese War, the food problem got more and more attention from the central government. As a rear base of the war, the food problem is increasingly prominent. It is not only related to the social stability and economic conditions of the local area, but also has important effects on the whole war situation at the same time. This paper is trying to find out some advantages and deficiencies of Sichuan food management system by the analysis of grain production, collection, transportation, market management and analysis of sichuan food management and the relationship between the national Anti-Japanese War. It aims to get some useful and instructive experience for today’s food management.This article is divided into introduction text and epilogue.text is divided into four chapters. Chapter One gives an overview of the grain production and management before Anti-Japanese War in Sichuan. Chapter Two tells us the grain management during the Anti-Japanese War in Sichuan. It mainly tells the change of the grain management institutions, grain production and collection, market management and tries to reappear the process of Sichuan grain management during the Anti-Japanese War. The third chapter analyzes the relationship between Sichuan grain management and the national Anti-Japanese War from the three aspects of the population explosion and grain supply, grain supply and the national Anti-Japanese War, and the grain allocation and transportation and the national Anti-Japanese War. The last chapter gives us an overall evaluation of Sichuan grain management in the period of the Anti-Japanese War.Practice proves that the provincial government has taken a series of wartime food management measures, which basically meet the needs of the Anti-Japanese War situation, but due to some problems in the implementation process, the effect reduced.
