Research On Features Of The Language Of The Comprehensive Cultural Magazine For The Young Women Of City

The comprehensive cultural magazine for the young women of city is different from the fashion magazine which focused on dressing up. It mainly places emphasis on finding out the emotion and wisdom from the campus, workplace and family life. It focuses more on leading reader’s attitudes to life, thus nurturing their mind. This kind of magazine is really popular among the young women of city, especially among the students and office ladies. It has great effects on the readers. Language is an important format for expression of this kind of magazine. Unfortunately, there seems a loss in the study of it. This study focused on Girlfriend’Cute and Girlfriend·Love to study the feature of the language. Girlfriend·Cute and Girlfriend·Love will be short for Girlfriend in the following article.In phonetics, this study analyses the language effects of Girlfriend in the following ways:repetition and symmetry of syllables, homophony, rhyme and the four-syllable structure. In vocabulary, this study finds out that the distinctive feature of this magazine is the creativeness which is reflected in creating and spreading new words, using popular Internet words, new application of the old words, and flexible usages of appellation language. In grammar, Girlfriend, in some degree, made a breakthrough on the routine rules of grammar, showing a new effect on rhetoric. It is mainly reflected in the unusual collocation of syntactic constituent and using special quote as attribute. On the rhetoric, the magazine used a lot of rhetorical devices. This study chooses the most frequently used and the most typical rhetorical devices to study. The author also illustrates the particular rhetoric of feminism of this magazine. The feature of the language is also affected by the culture of a given period of time. So the author analyses the effects to Girlfriend from different cultures, such as South Korean and Japanese cultural elements and European and American cultural elements and so on. At last, from the feature of the language, the female image modeled by the magazine and the direction of public opinion will be showed in this article.The author is not only trying to supplement the research in this area, but also exploring the rules of the language phenomenon in the media industry. According to the study of the female magazine, the author also discusses female language.
