The Creation Theory Of Chi Zijian’s City Novels

In the 1980s, stepping into the literary world with the native literature, ChiZijian expressed her heartfelt love for the hometown and sincere concern for villagers in the Arctic Village with the unique pure, simple and fresh style.Since living and working in Harbin in the 1990s,she has also gradually extended her novel materials to clam observation of the city and the city people, which reflected her continuing humanistic care. At present, many achievements has been made in the study of Chi Zijian’s native novels, but critics seldom pay attention to her city novels, except analysis of her city novels in comparison with her native novels made by individual observers.This paper focuses on Chi Zijian’s city novels and makes systematic and comprehensive discussion on the basis of the text including four aspects continuation of local, concern for the bottom,the narrative of female and artistic features, and the purpose of this paper is to reveal the significance and value of Chi Zijian’s city novels.The first part:Because of Chi zijian’s special childhood experience, unique insights and tender touch on life, Chi Zijian’s city novels embodied some continuation of local society. And each of them has an unusual life experience and various stories.The fourth part:The artistic features of Chi zijian’s city novels mainly embody in two aspects:one is the romantic feelings, and the other is the spooky atmosphere. First, as a writer with romantic feelings, her works are full of romantic spirit and artistic charm; Second, because Chi Zij ian grew up in the northeast, where primitive witchcraft prevailed,coupled with her personal endowment temperament, her novels are fantasy, mysterious, weird, uncertain and full of strong spooky atmosphere.ChiZijian is a writer of conscience and humanitarian feelings, she always adhere to the ideal of pure literature. Concern for social issues and a deep insight into human nature make her city novels unique, which have a timeless aesthetic charm and unique value.
