Analysis On The Basis Of The Statistics Of The Spectator ForPresident’s Invitation:an Attempt On Survey Research In Terms Of Theatrical Spectator

Spectator is the core of theatrical research with which the instructions for theatrical creation are provided and the relationship between spectator and the development of theater is explored. By which means would spectator’s reaction be thoroughly clarified beyond academic cliches? In order to support theatrical research with practical experience, the author intends to initiate an investigation on theatrical spectator by employing the methodology of survey research where the data are studied with regard to phenomenal analysis and theoretical research so that the interactive relations of spectator and theater would be demonstrated in a more rational and systematical way. Moreover, the inquiry on the potential of survey research is equivalently examined in terms of the methodology of theatrical research:Would it bring other possibilities for theoretical research?The research resides on the data concerning the spectator of President’s Invitation; the data of other theatrical performance in Nanjing are referred to as well. With the methodology of data analyze, the article is to discover the reason why President’s Invitation has achieved such a commercial success with artistic prestige in the view of spectator; the influence and the value of this theatrical work is also to be discussed in terms of the current development of theater. Besides, the theatrical market is to be meticulously examined as the characteristics of spectator and the inter-city differences are inspected in order that the discrepancies of the development of theatrical markets are precisely illustrated.The goal of this research program is not to provide a specific conclusion yet a possibility of methodology. As a phased report for the program, the article is merely a part of the research with which practical experience and instructions would be available for future research.
