The Organization Of Secret Society And Social Change In Southeast Area Of Guangxi In Qing Dynasty

Guangxi is An important place about secret society history research. The middle and later of Qing dynasty, secret society activity is very dynamic in the southeast of Guangxi, but we can through the local Clan organization and Tuan Lian organization’s developed to explore the social mechanism of the fo rmation of secret society organization.This article starts from the historical process of the local society since the Ming dynasty and explores some influence of factors to the rise of the Secret society organization and the change in local society,such as local economic and political activities, people change, power relations, resource competition. This artic le also explores the relationship between the Secret society and non-governmental organizations at the grass-roots level and the internal influence of social transformation and the change of the Secret society organization. One of the biggest differences between Ming dynasty and Qing dynasty is the change of insurrection object. The insurrections in local chronicles are Yao(猺)、 Tong(峝)、and Zhuang(獞). But in Qing dynasty insurrections are called a thief bandits and robbers. And in the mid and late Qing, southeast of Guangxi has become a “real dilute indigenous land”. On the one hand, it`s the results of immigration access,but it`s more about the locals yield to the court The local ind igenous people are willing to yield to the court and pay taxes to the government’s record. The identity of these people are not the “Yao”(猺), “Zhuang”(獞), but become the nation’s “The household registration of people”.The main reasons of the change are the development of southeast Guangxi, the imperial examination of the talents and the growth of the local gentry forces from Ming dynasty to the former of Qing dynasty. Tuan lian organization relay on the construction and development of clan organization. As the Social contradictions increase in the middle and later of Qing dynasty,secret society organization spring up in the southeast of Guangxi which was regard as " heresy " and named the Heaven-Earth Organization mostly. the local Clan organization and Tuan Lian organization were their Powerful opponent which was regard as " orthodox ". The Heaven-Earth Organization pass into southeast region of Guangxi in Jiaqing years,between light and prosperity, the reign of Daoguang,Xianfeng and Tongzhi years, which deeply affected the aspect the local society. One of the biggest affect by the Heaven-Earth Organization in the southeast is the establishment of a large number of Tuan lian organization to keep the growing number of bandits disorderly. Place ongoing military status became a place for cultivating military generals, which laid the important foundation for the rise of the new c lique in Guangxi in southeast region in the future.
