Application Of "Ba Ban" Element In Contemporary Music Work

This dissertation concentrates on researching composing technique appeared in the process of using our folk traditional source melodies Ba Ban element into contemporary music work, analyzing the structural form, specific presentation and processing technique of Ba Ban element contained in works, and revealing the structural meaning of Ba Ban element in works. The study of works will range from microscopic to macroscopic, local to overall and creative technique to creative thinking, and also contains "dominant" and "recessive" manifestation way of Ba Ban element in contemporary works. At the same time, in order to achieve the combination between folk traditional element and contemporary creative technique, and traditional music creative thinking and contemporary music creative thinking, this paper deeply analyzes the creative technique, creative style and creative thinking of contemporary composers.This dissertation is comprised by the introduction, text, epilogue, appendix and reference. The text is divided into two parts which probe into the Ba Ban and the application means of Ba Ban in contemporary music. And the first part (chapter 1) mainly expounds the meaning of Ba Ban, analyzes the prototype of Ba Ban and typical creative means formed in the process of spreading, and gives a brief reading to the aesthetics of Ba Ban; the second part (chapter 2—chapter 4) classifies presentation of Ba Ban element appeared in contemporary works. Starting with pitch organization, rhythm organization and variation organization, and taking manifestation way of Ba Ban element in prototype as reference, this part deeply analyzes the application means of Ba Ban element in contemporary works and the structural effect that the Ba Ban element has to the contemporary work, in order to reveal contemporary composers' inheritance and creation to the Ba Ban element and personal style contained in their works.This dissertation tries to reveal composers involved in this passage and even the whole contemporary composers' inherit way to folk element to achieve the exploration of "the combination of Chinese and Western elements" music language, by analyzing the research object carefully and study the composers'creative technique deeply.
