The trend of globalization strengthened the exchange and cooperation between different countries and cultures. The difficulty of intercultural communication was emerging in the field of economy, politics and culture. Intercultural competence has aroused much attention in the world. With the promotion of China’s economic and comprehensive power, more and more foreigners are interested in Chinese culture and language; what’s more, they are eager to learning Chinese culture and language in China. The overseas Chinese also pay much attention to learning Chinese culture and language in order to develop good relationship and maintain national affection and identity with China. It is imperative for Chinese government to improve international influence by promoting Chinese culture and language education. With the trend of elementary education internationalization, there is no agreement on cultivating students’ intercultural competence in the construction of school-based curriculum.From the perspective of intercultural competence, this study has analyzed the construction of Chinese culture and language school-based curriculum in X senior high school in Shanghai with the method of qualitative research, which has drawn conclusions as follow:There are three characteristics in the construction of Chinese culture and language school-based curriculum in X senior high school:the first, the objective of curriculum has reflected competence of 3A; the second, the content of curriculum has put particularly emphasis on knowledge learning in culture; the third, the curriculum implementation has given priority to students’experience. There are also three disadvantages in the construction of Chinese culture and language school-based curriculum in X senior high school:the first, the objectives of curriculum are imperfect; the second; the structure of curriculum is imperfect and the hierarchy of curriculum in content is incomplete; the third, it is necessary to strengthen the institution of curriculum;According to the results, this study makes some suggestions in three aspects:the first, it is imperative to accelerate construction of curriculum institution; the second, it is imperative to strengthen construction of curriculum in structure and content; the third, it is imperative to strengthen construction of curriculum in evaluation system.
