Chinese Model Of "Disability Literature": Disability And Writer Shi Tiesheng

Shi Tiesheng, who was sitting in a wheelchair for forty years because of his disability created a great number of outstanding literary works. There are many domestic scholars have studied his work and gotten rich achievements, but the study of the relationship between his disability and creation is not so much.This thesis analyses this problem in the form of Close reading and based on the relevant theory of Hermeneutics from the interdisciplinary vision and explains what’s the Religious consciousness, the meaning of Existence and the Philosophical style in his creation.The thesis consists of five parts, including Introduction, Text which contains three chapters and Conclusion.The introduction part introduces the research status of "disease and literature" as a research perspective of comparative literature as well as "disease, writer and creation" in Chinese and foreign history of literature. Under this background it presents the unique writer Shi Tiesheng’s creation in Chinese modern and contemporary literature history and it’s research status. At last, the introduction illustrates the conception, main content and research significance of the thesis. The first chapter, "Disability and Religious spirit" illustrates the disease as a special life experience of Shi Tiesheng, guides him toward the ultimate care, and analyses in detail his road from suffering to saving by love, finally established his own life belief of religion consciousness. The second chapter illustrates disabled experiences helping Shi to get clear of the essence of life from two aspects which includes the situation of life and the courage of survival and the reason he chose his survival philosophy. The third chapter is "Disability and Philosophic style ". Disability isolates Shi form his outdoor life and bounds him to a wheelchair, but it perfects his calm thinking, his unique way of thinking reflects in its creation and embodies his works in the form of expression and philosophizing. The Conclusion part points out that the disabled living style has formed the huge impact on Shi’s creation from content to form. He conquered the limitations of physical disability from "disabled person" to "people’s disable" which has a certain significance to human and social cognitionThe value of the thesis is to interpret the profound impact of Shi’s disabled experience on his creation, and supplements the deficiency of the domestic research on this aspect, helps readers to understand Shi Tiesheng and his creation more in-depth at the same time.
