| This thesis tries to research Mo Yan’s literary creation mainly from the perspective of regional features. The regional features are obvious in Mo Yan’s literary creation. The theme, language, characters and other aspects of his novels are all affected by regional factors. You can find it’s necessary to discuss Mo Yan’s personality and creation style from the perspective of regional investigation. This article will expound regional characteristics in Mo Yan’s novel from four aspects, which includes the environment, customs, image creation and language. At the same time, it comes to the transcendence of Mo Yan’s creation on the basis of regional features.Before arguing about the regional features in Mo Yan’s literature, this paper makes the regional concept limits and discusses the relationship between regional and Chinese literature. The regional literature is similar to popular literature, folk literature, rural fictions and the concept of local literature.It needs to compare and distinguish them one from another. Then, I will organize the main region related to Mo Yan and discuss their influence on Mo Yan and his creation. So I can determine the primary concern of this article.The main part of my paper divides into four sections. It will discuss the local characteristics of Mo Yan’s creation from four aspects, which includes environment, regional customs, image and language. The environment includes both natural environment and social environment. The regional folk focus on the various images. Image creation includes animal image and people. And the language not only includes dialect words, also including the language style and habits.Mo Yan’s novel creation is deeply affected by regional factors, but it is not limited to regional life. Mo Yan’s Gaomi is the Gaomi of literary sense. The author expand literary map by means of displacement and imagination, set up his own literary kingdom. By this kingdom, Mo Yan depicts the lives and restores the real human nature. The novel form may be unconstrained style, but it cannot cover up the author’s real concern to society and thinking to the human. |
