Study On The Religion Cultures Of Guangdong Liannan Paiyao

The religious belief of Yao in Guangdong Liannan is an integral and stable system of religion. The culture seems complicated, it is the reason that the eligious belief of Yao combines the characteristics of various worship. With the development of society, the cultural of eligious belief of Yao changes both in form and function. Especially after the Cultural Revolution which was ended in 1976, and China has ushered in the spring of reform and opening. The cultural activities of religious have been restored, and the traditional elements and modern elements have been combined together, with the support of government and the hard work of themselves. with the culture of the Yao nationality showing a scene of vitality. It presents a piece of prosperous scene of the cultural of eligious belief of Yao.The people who live here are Guo-Shan Yao, Pingdi-Yao and Paiyao. This article will mainly talk about the Panhu belief to ancestor worship, religious activities and daily performance of religious, which begins with the Panhu belief, to explore the relationship between the religion religion and Taoism culture, focuing on the transformation in form and function of belief in since the reform and openness, using the individual cases analysis.The author believes that, it should be combined with the background and the reasons of the change of cultural in the interpretation of religious culture of Pai Yao at the same time. Then the attention be paid to the inheritance and development of culture Pai Yao, from which the culture of the Chinese nation will be enriched.The article is built around the Panhu belief and the activities of ancestor worship of Yao in Liannan, and analysis of the historical and cultural connotation which behinds the religious culture will be touched. The situation of transition after the reform and openness will be metioned too.The method used in this paper are literature method, comparative method and field research method. And the "thick description" and "cultural pattern" of anthropology aslo be used when accounting for the interpretation of Panhu worship culture and the funeral culture about ancestor worship of Pai Yao. This paper is divided into five chapters to elaborate the main content as following: the history of Liannan Yao Autonomous County and the reasons of changes in Panhubelief, the transition caused by the collision between the origin of Southern Ethnic beliefs and Yao Panhu belief, the main types and changes of religious belief of South Pai Yao and the changes of purpose and function of religious belief in Pai Yao area.
