Dong Xiwen’s "founding ceremony" is a Chinese oil painting "nationa-lization" milepost type work. The reason why the author choose this work to study is that we are faced with the same problem:how to carry out the transformation of the traditional Chinese painting and oil painting language elements, to make it more consistent with the current aesthetic demand, let neither loss of oil painting language feature works, and with naturally national character and national spirit?After careful comparison and analysis, the author found that, Dong Xiwen did not simply copy or together Chinese traditional painting elements, but according to the language of oil painting specification and "grammar", boldly reformed, making them suitable for painting way of narration. The absorption and transformation, mainly reflected in five aspects:first, the fusion of scattered perspective in focus perspective; se-cond, in the composition, the use of the processing technique not take object average; third, modeling online, both from the characteristics of Chinese traditional painting emphasizes lines, and for the transformation of "taking shape line"; fourth, perform-ance in color, a lot of use of Dunhuang mural painting and folk painting decorative style; fifth, in the details of the outline, the use of a large number of Chinese traditional auspicious patterns and deformation.The author thinks, in order to create both national temperament and accord with the contemporary aesthetic Chinese paintings, not only to learn from Dong Xiwen Chinese specific techniques of rational transformation of traditional painting elements, but also the basic attitude towards the East and the west a deep understanding of Dong Xiwen "fully inclusive and equitable" painting language and creative ideas, so, we can master the language of painting, to lay a solid foundation for the creation of oil painting.
