The Comparison Of The ‘scientific’ In The Works Of Italo Calvino And Wang Xiao Bo

This paper is intended to use the methods of influence study and parallel study to compare the ‘scientific’ in the works of Italo Calvino and Wang xiaobo. Through the discussing of their works, studying the similarities and differences of two writers. Part of the body is divided into four chapters.Part 1:The definition of ‘scientific’ and the cause of this artistic feature. This chapter throughout Calvino and Wang xiaobo’s life time, by analyzing the family background, college experience, social activity, to seek the same factors of the ‘scientific’.Part 2:The embodiment of ‘scientific’. The primary content of this chapter is the novel writing of Calvino and Wang xiaobo, the secondary content is the lectures and essay of two writers. Exploring the artistic feature from five aspect,they are content, theme, style, structure and language.Part 3:The differences and cause of ‘scientific’ in two writers’ works. Wang xiaobo worked for the enlightenment of Chinese, writing with scientific thinking, praising the equality, freedom and logos of science. Calvino explored the poetry in science, establishing a vision of universe center. The diversity of culture between the East and the West, the context of social history result in the differences.Part 4:scientific mingle with each other, inspiring the future literature. Putting the accuracy, logos,infinite possibility into fallen literature, let literature spring to life. Calvino and Wang xiaobo aren’t single case, the blend of scientific will turn over a new page in the history of literature.
