Alice Munro is a famous Canadian writer, she is the 2013 winner of the Nobel Prize for Literature. As a female writer, Munro specializes in female perspective to represent life. By Munro novels’ background, female initiation themes, writing style analysis deliberately evaluate the creative spirit and style of Munro’s novel from the perspective of female consciousness.The thesis is divided into the three parts:namely an introduction, body and conclusion.The text is divided into three chapters. From colonial culture and the feminism, the first chapter analyzes the female consciousness of Alice Munro. Canada has historically been the British and French colony, the colonial features influenced the creation of Munro deeply, and her novels have a strong Canadian geographical characteristics. The rise of feminism in the West more inspired the creative desire of Munro. From the seventeenth and the eighteenth centuries, Western countries have set off two waves of feminism, and its target is the many aspects of from politics to economy, society, culture, education, employment and family life. The second feminist movement in the latter development phase is more in pursuit of harmony between the sexes. From the perspective of women, the Munro works reflects a change in the women’ mentality of the above context, highlighting the consciousness of women seeking equality with men.The second chapter discusses the women growing theme under the influence of female consciousness of Munro’s novels. Through the growing women, subject generation exploration and the ideal construction of female growth, the female growth theme of the Munro novels is discussed. Female growth process is also female consciousness awakening process. The majority part that Monroe wrote is about the woman’s story. Her writing has a clear stage, in the early days is about a little girl, a young woman, and gradually began to slowly develop on into middle age and old age. Women can not survive without a male’s influence and the author’s own life experiences. In Munro’s novels, we can feel the growth role of a father, husband and a male to women. In the growing concern of women in Munro he expressed the view that the growing attention to women is not an end, the world is composed of men and women, therefore, women’ ultimate growth is to achieve a harmony between men and women, which requires the joint efforts of both men and women.The third chapter focuses on Munro Novel Style in the care of female consciousness. Strong female consciousness makes the writing of Munro show its own unique style from the choice of subject matter to the use of stylistic language. In the matter of subject choice, from the female angle, Munroe centralized describe their own living town, describing the town people’s daily life. The narrative structure, female psychology portray and the language aspects have all shown uniqueness, forming a unique style of "Munro body".
