Qing dynasty is the heyday of ritual studies. Works about the Three Rituals studies are more than before in this times, and one of the notable features is the flourish of Yi Li’s study. Yi Li Yi Shu is a part of the San Li Yi Shu which has been compiled during the reign of Emperor Qianlong by the Three Rituals Pavilion. It absorbs all the research results from pre-Qin to Ming dynasty and it has innovations as well. Specifically, Yi Li Yi Shu governs the cited materials by seven categories which are Interpretation, Correction, General, Epilogue, Doubts, Differences, and Pandect. Besides, each category is supplied, reproved and justified by introductory notes so that it can restore Yi Li’s classics and keep different ideas as well, which is benefit for the studies of Yi Li. The first part introduces the Three Rituals Pavilion’s convening, the writing course and printing of San Li Yi Shu. The second part analyzes the Yi Li Yi Shu’s style and its exegesis’s features.
