| The 21 st century is an era full of opportunities and challenges for the media industry. New media forms are experiencing an unprecedented stage of development. The innovators with most forward-looking vision are trying to break the conservative information communication modes. In the modern information age, traditional media of one-way information dissemination mode can’t completely satisfy with the social needs of the masses. Design form of public service advertisement should not be bound in the traditional media attribute. New media with digital technology allows the design of public service advertisement has expanded and extended space. New media which Can effectively arouse the sympathy of the audience can guide the social media users interaction involved using the interactive characteristics. Finally, the interactive design meets the audience for information receiving and feedback needs. The arrival of the new media era not only satisfy people’s psychological needs for information interaction between people and advertising, distance, provides more innovative basis for interactive design of public service advertisement.This paper starts with the definition, interactive characteristics of new media, public service advertisement art, and design of public service advertisement, and focuses on interactive design thinking and interactive design method on the basis of interactive design case of domestic and foreign outstanding public service advertisement. And it provides evidence for the new media interactive design of public service advertisement. The study points out, by using the immersion unique experience of alternation of virtual and reality, the design method of human-machine interaction, creative implantation, interactive design based on new media interactive character can realize information presentation and interaction of seeing, hearing, touch and other sensory. And it also creates unlimited possibilities for the future of public service advertisement. New media advertisement interactive design conforms to the development of times. The dissemination of ideas and the way of the new media advertisement also gradually diversify, creative dimension from the single to multidimensional, spread face more vivid and effective interaction.
