Research On The Contemporaneity Of Fiber Art

At present,fiber art and contemporary art concept are closely connected with each other,which must be paid to great attention. However,the contemporaneity of fiber art is an unexplored field. This article mainly discusses the overall relationship between fiber art and contemporary art and analyzes the contemporary elements showed in fiber art and concludes with the close relationship between the two.This article first tells the development of fiber art in sequence and makes clear its topic and significance. Then it discusses in three aspects: the contemporaneity of fiber art,where the contemporaneity is and what contemporaneity is.Through illuminating the origin of the name of fiber art and contemporary art and their concepts,this article analyses the artistic features of the two and their similarities and differences with the typical case of Magdalena Abakanowicz.After that,this article explains the contemporaneity of fiber art.The way of fiber art exhibition goes from plane to cube and the content goes from concrete to abstract.It expands many producing methods and blends many new creating elements.In this very long development, the fiber art has been gradually accepted and widely used. It has not only closely connection with collage art, but also be applied to installation art and earth art. Meanwhile,fiber art is influenced by feminism. The high technology and video art was also used in fiber art creating. Finally,through collage art,installation art, feminist art,high technology and video art,earth art and other aspects to discuss the relationship between them and fiber art and the application of the material of fiber art in these field.We made a consequence on contemporaneity of fiber art which was affected by contemporary concept and it was used in contemporary art. The connection with them establish the value idea and special contemporary character of fiber art which is the inevitable result of fiber art development.
