Characterstic Of Bao Zhao’s FU And Interaction Of His Poetry And FU

Bao Zhao was a famous litterateur in the Southern Dynasties,he was one of the greatest litterateurs in Yuanjia period along with Xie LingYun and Yan Yanzhi.Bao Zhao is known for his poems,especially Yue-fu and the seven-word free verse.Meanwhile,his Fu also has great literary merit.His ten pieces of Fu can be divided into two parts:lyric Fu and chanting things Fu according to the subjects.These ten pieces of Fu laid his literary status in the Southern Dynasties and even the entire history of literature.His Fu is excellent and has distinctive characteristics in both content and form.The use of rhythm and rhetoric in his work pushed the trend of parallel style from WeiJin Dynasties and eventually promoted the finalize design of Fu in parallel style.Currently,the research in Bao Zhao’s work is concentrated on his poems,seldom do his Fu studied deeply,a lot of work needs to be done in the characteristics of his Fu in rhythm and rhetoric,as well as the parallel style and the interaction of his poems and Fu,which are also the key points in this paper.Therefore,I will discuss Bao Zhao’s Fu in my paper in four parts.The introduction will summarize current studies on Bao Zhao’s Fu,espound the literary merits of his Fu,and express the key point of the paper is to analyze his Fu in rhythm and rhetoric.The first chapter will appreciate Bao Zhao’s three lyric Fus:Yousi Fu,Guanlou Fu and Shangshi Fu.They will be analyzed with emphasis,as the sharp style of Yousi Fu,the transition in structure in Guanlou Fu,and the rhythm and rhetoric characteristics in Shangshi Fu.The second chapter will appreciate his chanting things Fu.Fu of this subject expressed his own ambitions,not unitary chant things.As previously written,I will use the same method to analyze his six changting things Fu,as the describtion feature of Yuankui Fu,the thetoric feature of Ye’e Fu and Wuhe Fu,the prettifition of Fei’e Fu and Chihuo Fu,and the rhythm feature of Furong Fu.The third chapter wil discuss Bao Zhao’s famous Wucheng Fu and summerize the whole characteristics of his Fu.The last chapter will concern on the interaction of Bao Zhao’s poems and Fu.He lived in Southern Song Dynasty,when poetry and Fu are changing position in the history of literature.The interaction is a vital phenomenon at the time.Meanwhile,the trend also influenced Bao Zhao,who is terrific on both poems and Fu.The interaction in his work is the key point in this chapter.
