The nature and the sentiment are the important theories of ancient Chinese culture and literature, they are completely different from the western society to definition of the sex and the love. In the old Chinese literary theories, "nature" is on behalf of whole, and it means the eternal and stable things. Content of the sentiment refers to the individual needs, it is changing all the time. Both of them are the important probing point of the ancient Chinese exploration of self and the outside world, also it is the important theoretical source of ancient Chinese literary theories. In the different historical times, the position of the nature and the sentiment was established on the thinking about the literature and the people, the literature and the society, the literature and the nature. Different generations have different literatures, while the definition of relationship between the nature and the sentiment reflects the different spirits of the different ages. The connotations of "nature "and "sentiment " are generated in certain social environment and cultural context. In the long history river of ancient Chinese literary theories, their relationship presents a kind of reciprocal regularity. this paper based on historical clues to Chinese traditional ideology and culture, The relationship of the nature and the sentiment is discussed in three different stages.The first chapter discusses the nature depressd the sentiment during the Qin、Han and Beisong Dynasties. Modern research is generally believed that Neo-Confucianism scienceism is a new stage of Confucianism. Both of them advocate to rule and improve people’s moral characters opposed individual passions by the sociel rules. Among the literary theory, a series of practical literary concept as "Poems to ideals", "Irony", "the enlightenment theory" and so on were popularized, and at the same time, neutralization become the most important dimensions.The second chapter discusses the literature ideal about balance between the nature and the sentiment during Wei, Jin and Tang dynasties. whether it is "Wenqi Theory" "Emotion’ or "impressionistic theory", they are the epitomized concepts of the balanced literary theory. This theory thinking epitomizes this period of awakening the individual person, and the buding of the conscious of literary theory which profounds the spiritual consciousness that literature is created for individuals, literature must reflect the individual’s feelings. In this kind of theoretical ideas, literary and artistic creation as well as other aesthetic emphasized "true."The third chapter is described in Lu’s and Wang’s Xin Xue prosperous period, due to ideological emancipation, literature theories was maintaining the individual sentiment. During this period, works were created because the needs of people’s love. This theoriesl affirmed the important action of "love" in literature and in people’s life. In this ideological influence, whether Zhi Li, Xianzu Tang, Mei Yuan, Fuzhi Wang,all of them explicitly advocate a key role in the process of the creataion and the acception of literature,and aesthetic crucial is reflected on "crazy."...
