In both meta-ethics appear before or after its ethics in the history of "right" and "good" is discussed, although the "legitimate" often comes from understanding the meaning of "justice". At different times, "right" and "good" presents different meaning, constitutes a different link. Meta-ethics as important stages in the history of ethics, also pay attention to "right" and "good", and analyzes the relationship between the two from the perspective of semantics. As the first person to meta-ethics, Moore in 1903 published The Principle of Ethics, a normative ethics from the tradition of moral values and behavior norms, restricting ethics moral concept, moral judgment on linguistic analysis, the main task is to analyze the meaning of the language. He argues, mainly study the behavior of the traditional ethics of "what is right" "what is wrong" similar problems to solve, such as Moore do not deny that this is the research object of ethics, but the task of ethics is the most basic is not that human behavior, and should be studied "as" kind of moral concept of "good", and as an attribute it to logic analysis. After he, Ross also inherited his this view.On the proper relationship with good, Moore and Ross have their own position. Moore says, "good" is the first concept of ethics, "right" is defined by "good", "right" is the result of "good" maximize "good" prior to "legitimate". Therefore, Moore’s "good" can be understood as a utilitarian "good". As a result, his theory is also called "ideal utilitarianism". And Ross inherits the Richard’s extreme intuitionist deontology, advocating emphasizes the concept of "right" is the core of the ethics, is prior to the "good". He criticizes the mole "with the maximization of’good’to define’legitimate’" point of view, and also the critique of Kant’s deontology. He thought the previous utilitarianism and deontology is a dollar standard for determining proper behavior. To this end, he put forward his theory of "facie duty, trying to find a multivariate approach to determine the actual obligation in the concrete practice. In its theoretical rationality at the same time, however, we also cannot ignore its limitations.
