Bertrand Russell is a famous logic positivism philosopher in the20th century. He introduced the mathematical logic into philosophical realm thus he has opened up a n ew view of modern philosophy. His philosophy thought and the way of thinking invol ved in the various fields of modern society. In order to promote the inheritance, innov ation and development of the global social philosophy, he has made the remarkable co ntribution to the theory. The author based on the principle of the original work and th e combining with the reality, and interpreted Russell’s moral philosophy from the dime nsion of moral paradox and tension of life, and understood the essence of Russell’s th eory. He offered foundation of epistemology and methodology for advancing and enric hing the advanced idea of moral philosophy. Through exploring and researching Russel l’s moral philosophy, on the one hand, the author researched and analyzed Russell’s el aboration on moral philosophy, and discussed the profound connotation and practical v alue on Russell’s moral philosophy; On the other hand, the author used the method of analogy analysis to explain the logical relation of the morality, freedom and life on Russell’s moral philosophy.In the first part of this paper, through the dialectical relations between science an d religion on Russell’s moral philosophy, the author analyzed the moral paradox on R ussell’s moral philosophy------the double dimensions of morality and truth, the moral e motion dimension, and the science dimension; In the second part, from elaborating the impulse and restriction on Russell’s moral philosophy, the author described "the realm of free"------the rationality of passion, the limits of restriction, and the realm of ha rmony; In the third part, from the dimension of morality and happiness on Russell’s moral philosophy, the author explored the tension of life------Morality is the sure way of happiness, happiness is the aim of morality, the tension of life about morality and happiness. The author set up a solid theoretical foundation for understanding the essen ce of thought on Russell’s moral philosophy, and promoted the inheritance, innovation and development of Russell’s moral philosophy.
