Study Of Newspaper Commentary Context In The New Period Of China

As the soul and flags of media, news commmentary is the writers’ opinionstowards news issues. Being unprecedented prosperous in the age of the IdeasCompetition, it has become the Magic Weapons for the fiercely competitive mediaindustries especially for newspapers. With the boom ot news commentary, there areheated researches about them among the scolars and newspaper press. Unitl now, noone has researched from the perspective of context. This paper tries to study thecontext of newspapers with some knowledge of contextual linguistics by comparisonand references analysis.The author believes that news commentary is more time-effective comment basedon the history and current situation of it. There are two prerequisite for conrextualresearch. First, the denotation of cotext can not be too wide on the basis of linguisticphenomenon; second, the readers’ psychology must be emphasized on the ground ofthe communication subjects’ congnition.This article analyzes the effects of context from the following three aspects:contextual constitution; contextual feature; contexttual evaluation, adaptation andcreation. It points out that the factors influencedthe news commentray context are thewriter, the reader, politics, media, time-efectiveness, topic and styles, which have thecontradictory relationship with the news commentary. These factors are bothrestraining and creating the news commentary, as well as dominating and coordinating.The contextual feautres of news commentary are insaparable with the traits ofnewspapers, whis embody the news commentary three unique characteristics:authority,presupposition, hysteresis. The above conclusion has been summed up bythe comparative study between newspapers and broadcasting, television, and internetincluding microblog. The purpose of this articel is to make full use of context andincrease the competitiveness of news commentary and gives some suggestions on howto master context effectively and make some contributions on the newspaperdevelopment. The author has put forward the foolowing four suggestions: first, toenhance competitiveness by fighting for talents; second, to meet individual needs by regrading the readers; third, to try some deep digging by selecting comment angles;fourth, to achieve win-win process through integration of media resources.
