Study On The Industrialized Development Of Intangible Cultural Heritage

Intangible cultural heritage reflects the bright wisdom and the eternal spiritof the Chinese ancestors, as treasure of the Chinese traditional culture in China.It’s very important for the sustainable cultural development to protect and inheritintangible cultural heritage. Today, in the background of cultural power strategy,China pays more attention to the development of intangible cultural heritage byguiding and supporting in the policy, laws, regulations and so on. China has alsostepped into preliminary exploration stage of the industrialized development roadon intangible cultural heritage, which needs to be enriched and perfected in thepractice constantly, as a long and tortuous development process.This article selects Wuhu iron picture as case study. From its birth to now, as thetypical example in the state-level intangible cultural heritage, Wuhu iron picturegradually has transited from commercial operation to the preliminary explorationstage of industrialized development. It accumulated a variety of contradictionsand problems due to its historical abuse and failing to keep up with the trend ofsocial development. In the developing process of wuhu iron picture, it has beensupported by all levels of governments and enterprises,‘iron picture man’ alsofound problems and try their best to solve them. They are constantly innovatingto make ‘wuhu iron picture’ to return. However, in terms of the currentdevelopment status,‘wuhu iron picture’ hasn’t gone out of the plight. This articlesummarizes the issues and reasons in the developing process of ‘wuhu ironpicture’ and agrees to the correct approach in its preliminary exploration ofindustrialized development, according to its actual developing situation, somequestionnaire survey, visit and so on. As it is still in the preliminary explorationstage of industrialized development, the author elaborately makes a mode for theindustrialized development of‘wuhu iron picture’after learning from thedomestic and overseas experiences in intangible cultural heritage. In the end,combining theory and practice, the author put forward some solutions to theindustrialization development of ‘wuhu iron picture’, who hopes to contribute alittle to the theory and practice of the industrialized development on intangibleheritage.
