During the second civil war of China, the Communist Party of China established the soviet regime in Reijin. Under the severe circumstance of both finance and human conditions, for the consolidation and development of the soviet power, the party set the specific technological institutes at the local revolutionary base area. The institutes aimed at promoting various kinds of scientific and technological knowledge to the local soldiers, famers and children. Such promotion and popularization exerted a great effect on the improvement of military, production, life, and the qualities of the people there. Through the analysis of the historical materials, it is easy to find out that the spread of these activities made a huge contribution to the victory of the Party in the civil war. It also laid a solid foundation to the popularization of the science and technologies, and offered the precious experience for the development of Chinese science and technology industry as well. This thesis sets the second Chinese civil war as the background, puts the emphasis on the content, objects, and forms of the science and technology distribution, and makes a summary to its historical development. The paper is divided into the following5chapters, and illustrates the points above in details. The first chapter is an introduction, the background and the significance of the research are proposed, and a summary is made to the current researches home and abroad. The Communist Party of China regards the science and technology as the key to revitalize the Chinese nation, we always keeps the significance of the science and technology in heart. The party has made constantly explorations to the developments of science and technology, and achieves a lot. However, the researches towards the development at that time are seldom mentioned, therefore, the choice of such a topic has both its theoretical and practical significance. The second chapter mainly reviews the historical background of the science communication at that time in central soviet area. The central soviet area, which is the biggest revolutionary base during the second civil war, is the central area of the soviet power; it’s also the administrative head that combines the Party, politics and military. Since the short history of the central soviet area, hard conditions and frequent wars there, the promotional campaign was difficult to set. However, it did move on, and really help to improve the qualities of people and the efficiency of the production in both industry and agriculture. The campaign satisfied the medical needs and also played a key role in the victory of the war. In chapter three, the basic contents and objects of the promotion in the then soviet area were summarized. To satisfy the various needs of the war, the soviet power required the appropriate activities in the total area. For example, establish the vocational schools, farmer schools, female schools, worker schools and so on, to cultivate the various professional talents in need. This was the start of the following promotional campaign in soviet area. The chapter4mainly summarizes the forms and methods of the science and technology spread in the central soviet area. Both soldiers and people there were born poor, they hardly receive any education except some high-educated senior leaders that came from the outside areas. They knew nearly nothing about the science and technology. Therefore, to change such situation, the party set the specific technological institutes at the local revolutionary base area. The institutes aimed at promoting various kinds of scientific and technological knowledge to the local soldiers, famers and children there. The ways of spread were in different forms, establishing schools, the performance of dramas, the exhibitions and the publication of books were the commonest. The fifth chapter is a summary to the history of the science and technology communication, and briefly reveals the practical significance. The central soviet area successfully educated the people there in just a few years; it provides rich historical experience and suggestions to the current promotion of science and technology.
