| Science magazine,founded on July 3,1880,is one of the most influential scientific magazines in the world.Its main purpose is to disseminate the most cutting-edge scientific research findings.Its cover aesthetics is also ahead of other scientific journals of the same type,fully mobilizing the visual enjoyment of readers.Science is an industry model for the application of visual communication technology,and has become a learning goal for many scientific journals to improve their own publishing level and scientific communication ability.This paper selects the cover of all journals of science from 2009 to 2018 as the research object.Starting from the visual and artistic features of the cover of a periodical,this paper studies the visual expression rules of the cover,discusses the aesthetic requirements of the cover binding design in the scientific visual communication,and,combined with typical cases,analyzes the construction methods among the elements of composition,text,image and color,so as to further explore the generation methods of scientific knowledge visualization and the relationship between art and science Internal relations,further optimize the quality of scientific visualization in China,in order to improve the power of science communication in China.This paper mainly includes the following parts.Basic research:The first chapter,the introduction,first summarizes the background,purpose and significance of the research,as well as the previous research results related to this topic,and describes the research content,methods and innovation compared with previous research.The second chapter,"Science" magazine overview,is about the Journal of ontology research.This chapter introduces the birth and development of Science in detail.In addition,it discusses the commerciality,scientificity and artistry of the cover of science.Theoretical research:The third chapter analyzes the artistic characteristics of the cover of science.In this chapter,based on the 512 issues of cover in 2009-2018 collected by the author,the author discusses from four aspects:composition,text,image and color.The first part is the composition of the cover,from the composition of words and images to the sense of balance and hierarchy between visual elements;the second part is the use of the cover text,font style and hierarchy differentiation,showing the order and sense of the times of the use of the text;the third part is the application of images,the author of the sample statistics and analysis found that science is good at using photographic visualization and design Computer visualization and other materials such as painting make cover pictures to show the accuracy,technicality and elegance of the images;the third part is the choice of colors,science combines the symbolism and contrast of colors in a picture,which not only deepens the theme but also strengthens the visual beauty;the fifth part is to provide the cover of science with information collected Practical suggestions.In general,the cover of science has been keeping pace with the times and constantly improving its artistic aesthetics in the ten years of replacement.In the fourth chapter,the paper makes a comparative analysis of the cover visual design strategies of science and the same type of magazines.The commonness and difference of visual element setting arrangement with nature and cell are analyzed.The three have a common connection,but also because of the independence of the brand,keep their own unique visual characteristics.Application research part:The fifth chapter is the research on the cultural characteristics of the cover of science.Firstly,this chapter analyzes the difference of the application of science symbols to the same research object.Then it extends to the inevitable trend of scientific visualization and symbolization and the interconnection between science and art.The sixth chapter is the exploration of the application of personal practice--the improved design of the cover of Science Bulletin.The author found the original problems in the cover design of Science Bulletin,combined with the above research on the cover vision of science,to provide improved solutions,is the process of transforming theory into practice.Conclusion:The seventh chapter is the conclusion and Prospect of the whole paper.It summarizes the research of the whole paper and hopes to provide a new and effective way for the cover design of domestic science magazines. |
