Today, with the society more open, the media increasingly rapid development,our culture and art has been hitherto unknown development. Especially the emergenceof new media, changed the past dissemination scope and capacity constraints, so thateveryone can grasp the first time information from thousands of miles away. Thischange not only brought frequent exchanges and interaction between differentcultures, promoted the emergence of a new culture, also reinvigorated some ancientculture and art.However, improvements in technology, breakthrough the influence range are notnecessarily positive. Now, It is so fast development of communication industry thatmany people rush to "look ahead", only the pursuit of novelty entertainment, whileignoring the cultural development history. Especially in recent years, the shock of theforeign culture on domestic culture is more and more big. In the wall blossom incenseoutside the wall of the social background, more and more excellent local culturalignored at home, gradually fading out of people’s vision, in foreign countries by themad pursuit, many excellent national culture has been stolen, then exported to Chinaby process. The reason why this phenomenon generated is no respect for our culture.In order to make our common culture be remembered, I began writing this article."Western Sichuan Opera School" as the research object, research from theperspective of Sichuan Opera spread to the formation, development, dissemination inWestern Sichuan plain; and from the social, historical, economic and other aspects ofthe formation of “Western Sichuan Opera School” to find out its historical environment.On the other hand,this paper will focus on the characteristics of "Western SichuanOpera School" by communicator, information,channel,audience,effect andcommunication system,which we called “Five W Model”.First of all, with a large number of historical records,this paper will start from theQin dynasty to Qing dynasty,which include Tang, Song, Yuan, Ming Dynasty. Basedon communication elements, tracing the historical atmosphere of Western SichuanOpera,confirming the specific time of Sichuan Opera formation.Secondly, based on the background of the formation of Sichuan Opera, we could research the different art style of Sichuan Opera in different region of Sichuan.Different geographical region of folk customs, language habits, population structurecould make different Sichuan Opera style, which as the essential elements of theformation of the opera school. Through the performer, stage, content, audience`s needsand communication system outlined the specific cause of formation of “WesternSichuan opera school”Finally, in the fifth chapter and the sixth chapter, I divide the communicationhistory of Western Sichuan Opera School into three stages by the improvement ofcommunication platform, application of media, standard for communicator, operatheory, talent education, combined with the historical conditions and geographicaldifferences, the Sichuan Opera genre popular elements as the reference point.Thedivision of three stages, mainly based on the number of people in different SichuanOpera Schools, representative opera, artists, influence scope, drama theory, industrynorms, the audience demand and other factors. In particular the spread range, famousartist, the audience is the main reference in this division. This is also the key point ofthis article.The results show that the Sichuan Opera "River Art” is a product of certain socialperiod. As the background of improving in communication technology, the lessening inregional style difference and other comprehensive factors, the product has graduallybegun to decline and then fade out modern Sichuan Opera Art School ranks. Thecommunication of “Western Sichuan Opera school” is just a part of Sichuan Opera inthe process of development, but this part is creating contention of a hundred schools ofthought in opera.The aim of researching this subject is to give some advices for communication ofSichuan Opera under the new media era, which will be better for us to protect anddevelop our cultural heritage.
