Confucian Orthodoxy And Its Manifestations

"Confucian orthodoxy" is the orthodox ideas of confucianism, is the orthodox confucian after Kong Meng. This paper mainly discusses the "Confucian orthodoxy" development of the most prosperous period from the perspective of confucian thinkers in order to summed up the main characteristics of "Confucian orthodoxy" and the basic essence of culture.Han Yu inherited the "Confucian orthodoxy" after Confucius and Mencius according to the characteristics of "new society", he put forward the new "Confucian orthodoxy". Traditional development to the Song Dynasty shows a flourishing, among them Zhou Dunyi, Zhang Zai, Cheng Hao, Cheng Yi. Their orthodoxy determines their position in Confucian orthodoxy. And the Confucian orthodoxy of Southern Song Dynasty Zhu Xi will be the development of the peak state.This paper mainly discusses the thinker’s thought from the angle of theory and history of historiography, in order to refine the core value of orthodoxy in feudal society.
