As one of the most important contemporary black women writers in America, ToniMorrison’s writing is rooted in the life of black people. She was concerned about the fate ofblack people and their life. Her novels describe the suffering body and twisted mind of blackpeople in America, where is full of racial discrimination. In addition, from the uniqueexperience of feminism, Toni Morrison depicts the image of all kinds of black women. Basedon the special visual angle, Toni Morrison described many stories and people to arouse ourthought and reflection about history. In1993, Morrison won the Nobel Prize for Literature.From then on, she became a shining star in African American writers.My study focus on the imbalance of gender relationship in Morrison’s novels, the articleconstitutes a total of three chapters. The first chapter discusses the imbalance of genderrelationship in Morrison’s novels. Male-centered gender relationship, Incest Incestuous anddistorted gender relationship, antithetical and conflict gender relationship are three forms ofunbalanced gender relationship in Morrison’s novels. The second chapter analyzes thereasons of the unbalanced gender relationship from three angles of gender, race and culture.Chapter three tries to establish a harmonious relationship between the black men and women.Morrison offered "love" to heal the wounds of the soul of the black, promote commondevelopment of the black, and ultimately build a harmonious relationship between the blackmen and women. The "love" Morrison mentioned in her novels is not just a passion betweenmen and women in the secular sense, it transcends gender, race and cultural barriers, andguides the black men and women out of the plight of imbalance, which is a spiritualexploration and Prospect of Morrison on how the black lead a better life in a more complexworld.By applying the theory of feminist criticism and cultural criticism, this article analyzesthe multiplicity and complexity of unbalanced gender relationship in Morrison’s novels. Thearticle shows the development of Africa-American’s gender relationship to the world. Theirrelationship is fragile at the beginning but harmonious at the end. This is an important courseof African-American in the history of the evolution of human civilization.
