Susan Sontag is a literary critic and one of the most notable contemporary Americanwriters. Since1963, her first novel "benefactor" published, Sontag has created a "death kit","the Volcano Lover","in American" and other novels, and a collection of short stories "I, andother"(later extended to "Chinese travel plan"), her against interpretation, new feeling forcetheory is embodied in the novels. Her area of research is relatively broad, involving works ofliterature, philosophy, photography, theater, film, dance, politics, fascism, cancer, AIDS, etc.,and often its keen insight into the literary and political events at home and abroad to makereaction. In the United States and the international community has had a significant impact.Previous studies have focused on Sontag in her aesthetic theory, much of its novelsinvolved. This paper mainly in four novels and short stories, for example, for Sontag’sthinking, aesthetic, stylistic deconstruction Interpretation of fiction, trying to deconstruct forSontag have a general sense of certainty.The dissertation is composed of three parts: introduction, text and conclusion. Theintroduction introduces the overall situation of creation of Sontag’s novels and the domesticand foreign research situation and the basis of selecting the title and the intention of writing.The text is divided into three chapters, focuses on the deconstruction of consciousness inSontag’s novels. The first chapter is Sontag’s thoughts of deconstruction, mainly from theformation of Sontag’s thought of liberty, and its significance and impacting on the novelcreation, clarify the thought of freedom is the dominant consciousness of Sontag’s socialcriticism in literature. The second chapter is aesthetic deconstruction of Sontag’s novel,mainly discusses the aesthetics of new sensibility. Take aesthetic as the aestheticdeconstruction different from the research of existing, reveals the "new sensibility aesthetics”possess a personalized innovation value because of it as an aesthetic way of life and uniquelife, art experience. The third chapter is style deconstruction of Sontag novels, put forward thetheory of style about Sontag novels. It is a important aesthetic infectivity and stylistic valuefor Sontag’s novels, because the words of color variety and new sensibility of extension tospiritual realm.In a word, Sontag is a writer of very creative talent, social criticism and aestheticcriticism consciousness. Her novel achievements, as her literary achievements, has pioneerand originality of thought criticized and transcended the traditional. she is longing for life,passionate pursuit and longing for aesthetic experience to the utmost, for her novel differentfrom other writers of the same age, although her ideology in some respects too radical, butbecause of her creation of society, human beings have a sincere and true and deep love, doesnot affect her novels are people correct reading and appreciation in the world literary circles,Sontag is a phenomenon in literary territory, her novels with the passage of time will has moreand more influence and significance. In a word, Sontag is a very creative talent, and verysocial criticism and aesthetic criticism consciousness of the writer, in her novel achievements, as in her achievements in literary theories, has criticized and transcended the traditionalpioneer and originality of thought. her novel different from other writers of the same age dueto hers longing for life, and passionate pursuit and longing for aesthetic experience to theutmost. although her ideology too radical in some respects, but because of her sincere creationand true and deep love for society, human beings, does not affect her novels are people correctreading and appreciation in the world literary circles, Sontag is a wonderful phenomenon inliterary territory, her novels will has more and more influence and significance with thepassage of time.
