Research On The Protection And Development Of Traditional Culture Of Tu Nationality

Tu Nationality is living in both Qinghai and Gansu provinces. It is one of the minority nationalities with less population in our country, and it is also the basis of the pattern of diversity in unity of the Chinese Nation. Tu Nationality has created unique heritages of traditional culture in the long course of historical development, and it is an important part of the splendid Chinese culture. The traditional culture in its content is not very rich, the language of Tu Nationality based on Mongolian and gradually developed common language of Tu Nationality, they are using Tu language internally in the festivals wedding ceremonies funerals and rituals, maintaining the national culture characteristics. However, with the continuous deepening of the social modernization and the rapid development of the western development strategy, the social environment of Tu Nationality has changed drastically, and the traditional culture of Tu Nationality is facing a huge shock.In this paper, the author briefly introduced the basic situation of Tu Nationality and Huzhu Tu Nationality Autonomous County------the only Tu Nationality Autonomous County in China, introduced traditional culture of Tu Autonomous County such as traditional costumes, traditional festivals, wedding ceremonies, customs and other aspects in detail. Through field investigation and present situation of Tu Nationality culture’s protection and development in the current Huzhu Tu Autonomous County, the author put forward some problems and difficulties in the work at present, then analyzed the reasons of it, and finally put forward some operable countermeasures toward reasons and current situations.
