| Tibetan belongs to the main branch of Tibetan branch of the sino-tibetan language family.In China,Tibetan can be divided into Weizhangã€Kang and Anduo dialect branch. Xiahe dialect, which belongs to Tibetan Am-do dialect, is a typical language without tones. In its phoneme system there exist consonant clusters. With the object of the syllables in Xiahe dialect, this thesis aims at systematically analyzing the labial positions of Xiahe consonant clusters. With the help of the combination of MATLAB, Audition and VirtualDub software, the author analyzes the videos (avi format). The conclusions drawn from the study have great significance for the preservation of consonant clusters as well as the construction of the labial positions in Xiahe dialect.The main contributions of this thesis are as follows:Firstly, we analyzed the phonetic system of Tibetan Xiahe dialect carefully and classified the consonant clusters in Tibetan Xiahe dialect, listed the video files and syllable files of the consonant clusters in Tibetan Xiahe dialect;Secondly,we designed the lip shape analysis program.By using this program,we can make a complete analysis of the consonant clusters in Tibetan Xiahe dialect. At the same time,we extacted the lip shape parameters. We marked the lip shape of consonant clusters in Tibetan Xiahe dialect,and analyzed the three different type of consonant clusters;Finally,we made a point analysis of the outer lip width and the inner lip height of Tibetan Xiahe dialect, and analyzed the relationship between them.We contrasted the time quantum of the lip shape and syllable,and made some useful conclusions.In conclusion, this thesis made a particular analysis of the lip shape of consonant clusters in Tibetan Xiahe dialect,and make a contrast between the lip Characteristics and the voice Characteristics.The conclusions drawn from the study have great significance for the preservation of consonant clusters as well as the construction of the labial positions in Xiahe dialect. |
