In this dissertation,102TCSL teachers from Beijing Foreign Studies University have carried on the questionnaire survey, and five TCSL teachers accept classroom observation and semi-structured interviews, we attempt to research grammar teaching beliefs characteristics of TCSL teachers. The study finds that TCSL teachers are in favor of drilling, meaning focus, generally believed that their grammar knowledge is solid,are confident in teaching grammar. They have no obvious orientation and choice in grammar teaching method and will use both induction or deduction method; TCSL grammar teaching beliefs have certain differences in gender, age, whether they have choose linguistics courses. However, in the academic and professional background, training, teaching experience abroad, grammar teaching of Chinese as a foreign language teacher beliefs are basically identical. Through classroom observation and semi-structured interviews,we find that most teachers’ teaching belief and teaching practice of grammar have consistency, but some of the teacher’s grammar teaching beliefs are not perfectly reflected in the teaching practice. Maybe they have relation with grammar restrictions, background of students, teaching content and the teaching schedule, teaching material layout.Finally, we introduce the advice of teaching and training of grammar teaching of TCSL teachers,the combination of inductive method and deductive method to form teachers’ own unique grammar teaching methods.Combine with situation and discourse teaching, give students the biggest opportunities. Teachers should strengthen self reflection, to be a reflective practitioners;.Teachers should consciously form their grammar teaching beliefs.Strengthen the teacher training, improve teachers’ sense of responsibility and sense of honor, to strengthen the teaching of grammar knowledge and professional skills training.
