The materials for research of this dissertation are excavated in the western zhou Dynastytombs found in the archaeological site in Yicheng county of Shanxi province. The cemetery islocated in the east of Yicheng, about6km by Hui river north of the village of delta river tributariesto form the ground. The excavation of Dhekou cemetery not only gains a lot of preciousarchaeological data, but also retains a "bully" monarch, lady and the human body skeleton ofcompatriots completely.This dissertation is based on the using of several methods, includingpaleodemography,skeleton measurement, ethnology and so on, to research the population, therace and the health condition of the materials, and to provide some information for the research ofDahekou cemetery and a basis study of anthropological research in Shanxi province.Chapter1: ExordiumIn this chapter, a brief introduction of the archaeological, geographical and historicalbackground of the site where the skeleton materials were excavated is given.Chapter2: The paleodemography research of populationUsing simple description statistics, brief life table to do a demographic research,likeappraiseing death age distribution characteristics of male, the female. And make the briefpopulation life table. Sex ratio in Dahekou cemetery is108, which is more than the normal rangeof modern people.Death peak is not consistent between men and women, respectively in30to34,35to39. The average life span is33.1,the average obituary is34.Chapter3: A Study on Morphological Characteristics and racial Type about the Human Skullsfrom Hengshui GraveyardThe Dahekou residents with the measurement characteristics of the skull is described, thestatistics of the corresponding characteristics of occurrence rate, and that male and female gendersamples belong to the same basic physical type. And the root mean square difference betweenfunction and the method of Euclidean distance coefficient are being used and each type of themodern Asia mongoloid are compared,.The result reveal that it has many characters of Mongoloid.Chapter4: A Study on the Genetic Relationship among Groups in Hengshui,Southern ShanxiProvince and Other Related DistrictsA Study on the Genetic Relationship among Groups in Hengshui Southern Shanxi Provinceand OtherRelated Districts has being on using the clustering method basing onmahalanobis distance and principal component analysis. Clustering analysis research shows thatthe characteristics of constitution in population of east of guanzhong region is relatively close,which belong to "GuZhongYuan " of the pre-qin period.In internal, Dahekou residents is mostclosed with Peng countries.Principal component analysis reveals that no skull morphologicalcharacteristics can differentiate between people as a whole when difference of physical featurescan be decisive.Chapter5: ConclusionThe conclusion discusses the problem which the dissertation tries to settle and the meaning ofthe dissertation.
