The highest category of Chinese philosophy is "Tao" and the western philosophyis” logos", both of which have a philosophical position that can not be replaced in thehistory of Chinese and Western philosophy. They have many features in common, butalso have many differences. Both of them bring profoundest effect on the cultural-construction of Chinese and Western philosophy, especially the formation of Chineseand Western linguistic philosophy. If we further compare the document of Chineseand Western philosophy, we would find that Chinese "Tao" is translated as "logos" incommon except as "Tao” directly; In the same way, when we see "logos”, we alsotranslate it as "Tao" except "logos” directly; Through this phenomenon, we could findthat they have all kinds of connections in language philosophy besides in semanticallycorresponds. If further perspective will be found between them is there with contact. And this paper is mainly about Chinese and Western language philosophy from therelationship between language、the world and thinking among the three.Lao Zi and Hera Crete were the first to discuss "Tao" and "logos" as aphilosophical category in the history of Chinese and Western Philosophy, at thebeginning of "Tao" and "logos”, because the age they live is similar, the two greatphilosopher’s view on all things in the word are also similar, including the creation, the origin of the universe, the origin of language, the laws of nature, mode of thinking, the essence of all things, even the meaning of word is corresponding, that is a kind ofmysticism. There is a consistent thread running through Tao, it’s divinity of nature, similar to "logos".That why a number of Chinese and Western scholars put forwardboth of them in the study of Chinese and Western linguistic philosophy. But due todifferent social forms and ways of thinking, the development of Chinese and westernphilosophy’s culture is changed, which lead to the differences of philosophy’s culturebetween the two sides, and this difference is also expanding.
