The Research Of Frame Construction Composed By Median Word "Bai","Qian" And "Wan"

This thesis based on the corpus of center for Chinese linguistics PKU, we discribethe internal composition, syntactic function and the overall semantic of the frameconstruction “qian X Wan Y”,“wan X qian Y”,“qian X bai Y” and “bai X qian Y”composed by median word “bai”,“qian” and “wan” in detaied, and discuss the level ofintegration, transformation of constraints and pragmatic effect of “qian X Wan Y” andother three frame constructions from the perspective of cognitive linguistics andpragmatic.Investigation shows that these four kinds of frame construction is almost the same inthe internal composition, but there are also some differences. In the syllable of embeddedcomponent of X and Y, the monosyllables and monosyllabic morpheme in the “qian XWan Y” accounted for83%in total, but the X and Y in other three kinds of frameconstruction are monosyllabic word or morpheme. In the syntax nature of embeddedcomponent of X and Y, four kinds of frame construction has noun, verb components andadjectives ingredients, however, the proportion varies. In the semantic relations ofembedded component between X and Y,“qian X Wan Y” has justice relationship, nearlyrighteousness relationship and antisense relationship, While the other three kinds offrame construction only have two categories of justice and nearly righteousness relations.Investigation showed that the four frame structure of syntactic function can act as avariety of ingredients and clauses, general is greater than the individual. In the framestructure of the internal situation, syntactic function of different components of theembedded frame structure with its embedded components are closely related to the natureof grammar, and maintain general consistency.Investigation showed that both the overall semantic of “qian X Wan Y” and “wan Xqian Y” can be represented very large quantity and extent of the intended meaning, boththe overall semantics of “qian X bai Y” and “bai X qian Y” used to represent very largequantity. This thesis divided “qian X wan Y” and other three frame constructions into highintegration and low integration of the two levels by using the conceptual integrationtheory in cognitive grammar, and respectively introduces the integration of the two levelsof semantic and syntactic characteristics. The article also discusses the low integratedlevel of frame construction transformation of constraints, position transformationrestricted by X and Y can constitute a compound word, the whole frame structure of thecontext, language iconicity, the rhythm and other factors. Meanwhile, the article alsodiscusses the subjectivity, symmetry and economic problems of these four kinds frameconstruction.
