Current Status Analysisof Contemporary ChineseFemale Hue Artists

Contemporary traditional Chinese hue art painting, as one of the most important elementsfor the development of modern Chinese art, has gained more attentions in many ways these years.Among the artists major in it, female painters have made many contributions, and have becomethe indispensable part for their distinct perspective to express the art, which originates frommaternity and feminism. Nowadays, more and more excellent paintings come out by the handof female Chinese hue artist and have achieved good results in exhibitions across the nation.As the booming of female artist has come, we need more specific data to reveal the currentstatus of them. We seek to count the proportion of female artist in6th-9th National Exhibitionof Chinese Hue Art Paintings, respectively. The selected paintings were also analyzed in theissue. Besides, other factors that may reflect the development were also analyzed, such as peerevaluation, public interest and market feedback. Specifically, we chose representative femaleartists born between the1930s and the1980s to analyze the characteristic and reveal the status.These artists include Caiping Jiang, Licun Zhu, Mingzhe Hu, Ying Pan, Jia An, Chuanzhen Li,Hanlei Luo, Yang Jiao and Yu yang etc.Female hue artists represent the advanced aspect of traditional Chinese hue art painting,which is an important part of modern Chinese art. The current status is flourish through thesupport from government and also civilians. There will be a more prosperous future for femalehue artists.
