Beauty Painting’s Change Since The Republic Of China

Beauty painting as a branch of Chinese painting has a history of thousands of years. Its meaning is also significant. After the bud of Spring and Autumn period, the beauty painting achieved prosperity during the Tang dynasty and Song dynasty. However, in the time of Ming dynasty and Qing dynasty, the development of beauty painting has declined gradually. Since Republic of China, beauty painting in content and style has new change. In this paper, in the Chinese painting category, the author studied the beauty painting objectively, in chronological order, divided the paper into several history paragraphs, explore its style rheology. First part is the rheological beginning of Qing dynasty, followed by the Republic of China period when students returning tide causing the painting style’s diversification, the third part is the early days of founding country to the Cultural Revolution time, finally is the coexistence leading the Renaissance of reform and opening up and the New Century come.Based on these four different historical periods’characteristics, subject content and the form of drawing are the research points. Analyze the causes and laws behind the beauty painting which contains a combination of different disciplines research methods. Sum up the impact of social and cultural background on beauty painting’s transformation. Blend of Chinese and western cultures, the change of mass aesthetic, improved the status of women, the impact of sketch in the western education and the college education-these four factors all have inseparable effect on the change of beauty painting. Furthermore, according to the rheological characteristics of beauty painting since the Republic of China, the paper also working on this phenomenon explained the meaning of the aesthetic value of beauty painting’s nature and female sight from women’s perspective.To analyze the meaning of such division and such perspective for beauty painting is very important. First of all, it could have a clearer understanding of the different periods of beauty painting style, secondly learned changes in women’s aesthetic art behind transform-the rise of women’s status and changes in gender relations, last but not least through the innovation research ultimately better serve the contemporary beauty painting creation and development of the research area.
