The Ming-Qing Dynasties is an important chapter in the history of Chineseceramics. The royal imperial mill and kiln factory have been founded in Jingdezhen bythe Court. Since the consummate craftsmen have been gathered together to produceporcelain, while the government poured huge manpower, material and financialresources into it, so that Jingdezhen has become the center of porcelain from that time.What’s more emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties also show an enormous passionfor porcelain production, meanwhile they requirements are very high on the type ofporcelain kiln, decoration, design and color, so all of chinaware must go through theexamination and the royal assent pattern can be made before production. Due to theconcern and support of the court and the emperors, the painted porcelain with the blueand white porcelain as the representative got rapid development during the Ming-Qingdynasties. At the same period, the technology of making color porcelain glaze wasbeing perfected. In addition, varied shape, particular pattern made the Ming-QingDynasties’ stoneware have highly artistic value, thus it is up to the pinnacle in thehistory of Chinese ceramics.During the Ming and Qing Dynasties, the feudal autocratic rule reached to the peak,the emperors’ will be the will of the whole country, and the emperors personalitycharacteristic directly led to the policy and attitude of the four major religions different,so the porcelain kiln production and creation was based on the preferences and beliefsof the rulers. This article mainly to present porcelain kiln’s development and innovationin the influence of the religious policy and culture during the Ming-Qing Dynasties andit is divided into three main parts. Firstly, I decided to discuss royal religious cultureand policy, the emperors’ attitude to the religious in the Ming-Qing Dynasties; secondly,it briefly discusses the development of Ming-Qing Dynasties’ porcelain kiln and thestyle of each period; finally, I focus on introduce how the Royal religious culture effectthe porcelain kiln during the Ming and Qing Dynasties. For example,during Yong Xuanperiod of Ming Dynasty, as a result of Zhenghe’s voyages through many Islam countries,the fleet not only took many porcelain to the various countries also brought backexotic porcelain which made a more profound impact on the porcelain productionbetween Chinese and foreign. Ming Wu-zong highly praised Islam, so the Islamic religious became the theme of kiln porcelain production. While the Jiajing emperoradvocated of Taoism, so there were a large number of the Taoist theme porcelainproduced. In order to win the support of the Mongolian and Tibetan areas’ the upperclass, the Qing Dynasty rulers gradually accepted Tibetan Buddhism, and during thisperiod a large quantity of Tibetan Buddhist theme porcelain produced which wereused in daily life, appreciation and sacrifice. Missionaries brought the western paintingto the Qing court. The emperors not only showed great interests in those religious arts,but also coupled it to production which also combined with the Chinese traditional art,and then the craftsmen created a batch of exceptional porcelain. In summary, the Mingand Qing Dynasties royal religious culture to promote the innovation and developmentof porcelain kiln and leave a rich cultural heritage for future generations.
