A Study On Aesthetics Representation In Chinese Vision Of The Yellow Wallpaper From The Perspective Of Translation Aesthetics

There are a lot of literary translation works among translation researches in China, and the literature translation accounts for the majority of the whole translation studies. Because of the differences between starting points and the perspectives of the translator, the guiding theories of literary translation are varied and the directions of translation researches are also different. In recent years, it is inclined to apply Translation Aesthetics in literature translation in the realm of translation. Translation Aesthetics can better illustrate the ideas of the author and better express the connotation of the original text. Through application of the Translation Aesthetics, readers can understand the core and connotation of the original text in a better way. From the perspective of "beauty of form","beauty of sounds" and "beauty of artistic" conception, Translation Aesthetics can vividly present the essence of the original text which can enable readers to follow the author’s feeling as if they experienced the happenings of the story. Translation Aesthetics opens up a new field for translation, and the translators are no longer tied of the theoretical framework. They can perform their subjectivity and agency well, which can combine the culture of source text with the culture of target test better and achieve the perfect integration between "body and spirit". Translators often analyze from the concept of the female’s psychology emancipation, and deliver females from bondage under the feminism perspective when they translate The Yellow Wallpaper. They ignore the literary merit of the novel and they don’t pay much attention to its literary value and significance. There are a lot of descriptions of lights and shadows, the inner monologue of characters, the depression in the narrow space in The Yellow Wallpaper, and they are worth to reinterpret with Translation Aesthetics. Basing on the source text The Yellow Wallpaper and Wu Qiyao’s translation, trying to use Translation Aesthetics to reinterpret The Yellow Wallpaper’s literary connotation and build its visual and emotion aesthetic feeling.The thesis consists of six parts:the first part mainly elaborates The Yellow Wallpapers background and theory significance and discusses the value application of Translation Aesthetics in The Yellow Wallpaper; the second part analyzes the current situation of the Translation Aesthetics development at home and abroad, and builds the "aesthetic generating model" on the basis of aesthetics. Through parsing the "aesthetic generating model", and study the aesthetic information in The Yellow Wallpaper, the third part, analyses the status between aesthetic subject and object in the translation of The Yellow Wallpaper, and studies the condition and the value of the translation aesthetics subject, and the characteristics and the value of the translation aesthetics object and value; the fourth part, the thesis makes a comprehensive analysis on the aesthetic information and aesthetic value theoretical system of The Yellow Wallpaper from the aesthetic values of verbal beauty, the aesthetic values of image beauty, the aesthetic values of hypertext beauty and the aesthetic values of artistic conception beauty; the fifth part, the thesis summarizes and analyzes the strategies translation on literary translation is based on professor Wu Qiyao’s translation of The Yellow Wallpaper and uses professor Liu Miqing’s translation principle of "choose the fittest, choose the best"; the sixth part, it is the conclusion part, making a briefly theory and application summaries of the thesis, and analyzing the mainly research finding and the practical application values of this thesis.
